I've been to a couple bookstores in Taipei, and i especially LOVE this one. Eslite Bookstore (Chung-Yo branch) of Chung-Yo Department Store, Tai-Chung. The whole place is exquisitely design with the most fabulous wooden decor and a spiral-circular interior. 
This one, on the other hand was taken in front of the main branch of Eslite Bookstore (Xin-Yi flagship store), situated at Taipei City Hall, 10 minutes walk from Taipei 101.

I prefer the Xin-Yi store as they have an Apple Store inside as well, though you can't practically dine in the Xin-Yi area.
