Pushing Daisies

I just finished watching the pilot episode of Pushing Daisies
and i have to say, it's THE best TV show pilot to premiere this fall.

I mean, both Bryan Fuller (Heroes) and Barry Sonnenfeld did a great job
in combining murder, supernatural, drama, romance, mystery, and humor all
together, and get away with an awesome show!

The characters are quirky, especially the neurotic aunts of Charlotte (or Chuck).
The sets are colorful and funny...somehow,
imagine Big Fish, everything is weird, funny, colorful and bright,
which is in a sharp contrast to the main elements present in the show,
death.

Ned, a pie maker, played by Lee Pace is a dorky, motormouth guy,
who has the powers to bring dead people alive with only a touch.
And if he touches whoever he brought back alive the second time,
they will be dead permanently.
And the dead is alive for more than 1 minute,
someone else have to die...something like a universal balance rule or something.

Charlotte, or known as Chuck by Ned, is played by British Actress Anna Friel,
and to tell you the truth,
i have no idea she's British till i read her profile in Wikipedia.
Her accent is perfect, and she just...funny in a serious sort of way.

But, as i mentioned above,
Chuck's aunts, Aunt Lily and Aunt Vivian
are weird but steals the thunder off the main characters every time they appear on
screen. Both are played by Swoosie Kurtz and Ellen Greene respectively.

Anyway, look out for this show,
premiering this 3rd October on ABC.
