Simple Plan - Untitled

Just like to share this video with you guys.
It's the music video of the song Untitled by the
band Simple Plan.
Since they release their latest single
today, entitled When I'm Gone,
i figure why not post an old video of them to
celebrate their comeback as i'm a huge fan
and it so happens i'm in love with this song.

It goes to show how much damage
could cause by DUI (Driving Under Influence]
Once the damage is done,
not only you ruined people's lives,
you ruined yourself as well.

British English vs. Malaysian English

Who says our English is teruk? Just see below - Ours are simple, short, concise, straight-to-point, effective etc.........

Britney Spears [BLACKOUT]

This is the new cover? Fabulous! (can't believe i use that word...)

Gosh, i'm so in love with her latest album,
so much i forgave all the s**t she did like
not wearing any panties and dropping her
sons clonking their fragile skulls.

Haha...

Anyway, BLACKOUT is her much anticipated
5th studio album since the last album,
In The Zone, which was released 4 years ago.

12 new songs with 4 bonus tracks,
i've heard all the tracks, except for Outta This World,
which i'm still searching.

Tracks which i'm head over heels in love with?
Freakshow, Toy Soldier, Gimme More, Hot As Ice, Everybody, Piece Of Me, Get Back, Radar

Britney really hits all the right spot this time.
It's Britney Bitch!!
So, go buy, steal, anyhow, anyway,
definitely have to check it out!!

My Roommates: Part 2

First of all,
i wanna apologize for what i wrote a couple post back,
regarding my current roommates.
And also,
i wanna thank them for being understanding and
friendly to me, despite all the stuff i wrote.

Sometimes,
it just so happens when i feel like i wanna
lament on some stuff that i'm not very
happy of, and it got so out of control i simply
blurp out whatever and even exaggerate the whole
situation.

That is why,
to my roommates,
i'm glad you guys took me under your wings,
truly, i feel more accepted than anywhere else when
i'm with you guys, even the ISC made me feel like as
if i'm an outsider.
You guys care for me, laugh with me,
talk to me, and i'm glad i have the honor to
listen to you guys talking about your
dilemma, and maybe that means you guys
trust me a lot and love me dearly,
and that really means a lot to me.

Britney Spears new album [BLACKOUT] commercial

She looks hot...
and Gimme More is annoyingly catchy,
but hate the trashy album cover.

Umbrella [Vanilla Sky's Cover]

Another cover of the monster hit of 2007, Umbrella
by the band Vanilla Sky.

I kinda liking this version,
and it's so...gay, it gives me the creeps.
Haha...

My Roommates

I received a comment last night from Ah Bong,
asking me why i hate and like my roommates at
the same time.

Sure, i have a crush on one of them,
and sure, i kinda like them,
because they care for me, buy food for me,
ask me to visit their hometowns etc.

It's just, sometimes, i felt,
neglected. It's like, whenever they talk to me,
it never got far from what i'd like for dinner
or where i'd like to have dinner, or
asking for help in their homeworks which
due that very HOUR it's suppose to be handed in.

Sometimes, things do get a fresh turn,
them talking on their personal stuff.
Like...this cute girl, that cute girl,
family, this and that. Which annoys me.
I mean, hello, yeah, i a a nice guy,
and i know i always listen, but does anyone listen to
yours truly talking about my problems before?

And things are even worst whenever they talk about
sports, i'd get totally left out, as if i'm invisible.

See the point of my love-hate relationship with them?
They talk to me when there's SOMETHING,
but ignore me when there's gossips and sports.
Although i'm glad about the sports part,
as wouldn't have to endure the pain of listening to
testosterone induced stuff.

But please,
ask what and how i feel sometime.
I am a foreigner, who is gay,
who hates sports, who has a relatively small
socializing scale, and a quiet personality.
Those mentioned above are enough to
warrant me all the rights to
have someone to blabber to.

But no, instead,
i have to listen to THEM!!!!

Awkward...

I went to the teacher's lounge yesterday,
to MR. DB's own office
(hey, every lecturer/Prof. gets their own private office)
and was going to have a chat with him, and get some
extra reading materials from him. (Odyssey!)

So i went to his office, and there was someone else in there,
and when he saw me, he flashed this really adorable
smile at me, y'know? And all i could do was blabbering non stop.
Here's a recap of my conversation with Mr. DB.

"um, uh, i, uh, um, guess you're occupied or something,
so uh, i guess...um, next week? i mean i'll see you...uh...next week..?"

And he was like,

"could you give me a moment please?"
"deng yi xia"

And that got my feet wobbled.
Anyway, i waited for like another 15 minutes or so,
he invited me in.

So, next thing was that he was commenting on the weird
black dots and grainy mouse poo thingie on the floor.
It was awkward, and he was this close to me,
i can even smell his breathe (musky, sweet)
(damn, i feel like i'm writing porn)
And he backed away, and i cleared my throat,
and then i looked at him,
and i was staring at the greenest eyes i have ever seen in
my live. I mean, it's sort of jade mixed with
the color of lush green fields..

And i was like...sort of a faze,
a dream or something.
All i could do was balbbering a lot of "uh(S)"
and "um(S)".

And after i got the reading materials i requested,
we just...well, it goes like this.

me: "Uh, ok then. thank you so much, and sorry to bother you.."

DB: "Ok then. Anything else ? i have a lot of other books,
but they were from the library, so maybe we can go there together
sometime, and i have a scooter.."

me: "Whoa, ok. Um.. when?"

DB: "Well, whenever you're free. Do you have my number? 09xxxxxxxx"

me: "Uh, thanks, um... ok then. I'll see you on Monday"

DB:" Sure, Wyatt. Come by anytime. Maybe yo could give me a oral
report sometime?"

me:"Sure i will. Thanks again"

So, he walked me to the door, and when i press my hand
on the door frame, his hand brushes on mine,
and that got my face blushy and there's like a bunch
of butterflies in my tummy making me excited and sick at the same
time which makes me wanna puke.

So, that's about all. My first chance,
i blew it. Darn. I really wasn't looking for any
physical excitements, don't get me wrong,
but my crush for him is...i don't know how to
explain this, mutual? Maybe.

I was on the verge of kicking myself on the backside.
Sheesh... But i have his number. That's a great thing
right? And he did asked me to pillion riding with him
to the library of the central school area.

That should meant something right?
RIGHT?

Sigh....

Sports? Academic?

Ok, before any of you blast me with a bunch of crap
like "Oh, we need sports in our lives" or whatever,
i have had enough of the students here taking sports activities
more seriously than their academic performances.

I mean, the reason i pulled down the freaking post on
how bad their English are were because i thought, ok, they
are nice, sweet, yadda, yadda!
Really, they make no effort at all to improve!!!!

All they do is a bunch of never ending strings of
basketballs, volleyballs etc!!!
I mean, ok, a few match a month just for fun might
not be such a bad idea, although i hated any sports for
that matter. What irks me is that how serious they
take on stupid games like these!

Who on earth ends a basketball match with a bunch
of dramas, feuds and disputes!! Sparks (definitely not the colorful ones)
were flying even among the teammates! That's pathetic!!
And i'm had it listening to them complaining on how
their feet ache and sore after the vigorous sports activities
that literally tore their ligaments apart! Why complain if
you wanna torture yourself in the first place??

And not one person in class makes any qualms on
how their shitty quiz's grades will appear on their transcript!
How ironic since the last time i checked,
i'm studying English Language and Literature,
not sports science, for christ sake!!

And there's this dude with too many X hormone in his
sex hormone, who goes around insulting others with his
insulting remarks, and a bad ass attitude to go with.
So who does he think he is? Huh? Better than anyone else?
I'll show him what is the meaning of "better".

Oh, here it goes again,
my roommates are talking about sports again.
The stupid upcoming basketball match!
Sheesh, my ears are literally bleeding.

Bukit Mertajam aka. Tua Sua Ka aka. 大山脚

I spent my whole life under the mountain. It sadden me that i'm no
longer be able to look at the beautiful mountain when i wake up everyday.
The lush paddy field reminds me of the route me and my family take
every time we went to my grand parents house.

I misses my hometown, the
kuey teow (炒粿条)
Curry noodle(咖喱面)
Roti canai(印度煎饼)
Nasi Lemak(椰浆饭)
Fujian noodle (福建面)

Ok, i'm gonna stop now.
I know i sounded pathetic.
All i think of is food and more food.

Glass shattering

Just thought i share with you guys.
I have these weird fantasy (ok, fetish)
of glass shattering.

Don't ask me why.
The only thing i know is that
i always picture a self imagined scene of a music video
with glass shatters around Kelly Clarkson
whenever the second last verse of "Here i am, once again"
Weird huh?

And there's another thing.
I love it whenever there's glass shatters in a tv show or something.
For example. Those who watch Ghost Whisperer might know
in the last episode of the first season,
a plane crash occured and the windows of the shop houses
behind Melinda smashed due to the vibration.
And that got me real excited.

Do i sounded nuts?
Because i feel freaky of my weird fetish of
seeing glass shattering into smithereens.

Weird!

Of Relationship and being Gay.

It's been a while since the last time i post any
relationship related stuff. Well, the previous
post wasn't so much of a relationship post as all i
did was writing bad stuff about my ex.

It's been a whole two years,
and i have to say, finally, i'm really through
with it. I've deleted the last ever sms he sent me
which i preciously saved in my phone for 2 years.
It just hit me this morning, it's The day,
that i have to let go, since it's not like he'll
even care less if i keep the sms for the rest of
my life. From now on, i won't care a bit if he
screw his life. Heck, i don't care if he turn into
the devil himself...oops, Steve Jobs (founder of
Apple Inc.)

Ever since i came here, i have crush on 3 particular
person. My lecturer (hereinafter known as DB),
an Italian transfer student (P) and my roommate (R).

I guess part of the reason i had a crush on my lecturer
Mr. DB is because he's cute, he looks sensitive,
he's soft spoken, and like i mentioned before, the killer eyes,
that is both soft yet...mysterious in a way that is inexplainable.
But hey, nothing will happen (although deep down, i do
wish for something to happen, hahahahaha!!!)
since i have no idea how old he is, and he's my lecturer,
for God's sake. A great friend maybe, since we had a
great conversation in MSN 2 days ago.

Hey, stop accusing me of being a slut or something for
having a crush on my lecturer. Don't you straight people
have a crush on your teachers before? Duh!

Anyway, Mr. DB is clearly out of the league.
So, it goes down to Italian P and Taiwanese R.
Which doesn't look good as P will only be here for 2 months,
and R is definitely straight to the core of his bone.
Heck, i even help him to pursuit a girl he have a
crush on. I kinda have this feeling he knows
my orientation as he likes to ask me for my opinion on
how to dress sharp and smart.
(roll your sleeve, not folding them, and leave the 1st button off!)
(Black looks good on him!!)

So, that's about the closest thing of a relationship i had in years.
A guy might hope, but i have this feeling...tired, maybe?
Or it's just simply that i realize my perspective are something
else important?

I haven't really told anyone about my orientation here,
i'll leave them to discover themselves. Not that i'm
afraid or whatever, it's just i don't wanna go through whatever
i endured last year. It also breaks my heart that some
people here make fun of gay people.
They just don't understand how hard it is being one.

That is why i state clearly on my profile that i am gay,
take it or leave it. Your choice.

Britney's New Album, Blackout's cover??!!

Oh my God. Someone should really get their things on
and sue Jive Record/Zomba for the hideous album cover!

First the awful, cheap and poorly made video, and now this?!
I mean, after years of bad press and bad marriage and a handful of
lawyer papers, it's good to see she gets her feet back on with the smash hit
Gimme More (which is find addictive, It's Britney, Bitch!),
but it seems the record company doesn't even care about the
most basic stuff. Album cover, and the video! Geez...

Let's hope they change the darn eye sore.
Heard it's the official cover, since Sony BMG Germany announce it today.
Sigh... Britney, my heart goes out to you.

Album Review: Jennifer Lopez - Brave

"First single from upcoming Brave—follow-up to her March number-one Spanish bow Como Ama Una Mujer—is a satisfying, flamethrowing pop-urban pearl befitting top 40 hits from Rihanna and Kat DeLuna. J.Lo may now be following the footsteps of a new generation of pop stars, but there's no shame in that. Not since 'Waiting for Tonight' has she served up a song with such potential to rally long-term play, not to mention imminent remixes for the dancefloor. Let's hope her successful return sans rapper will signal to all that it's high time for change—for good. 'Do It Well,' well done." — Chuck Taylor of Billboard.com

Ok, usually i don't dig J.Lo's music,
no offense, i always thought her ego is as big as her famous bum.
but i gotta be honest, i'm head over heels in love
with this one. I just got the entire album
(including the iTunes Pre-Order bonus track]
a few days ago, and i might say the entire album
really got my feet working.

Hold It Don't Drop It [It's on the top spot of Billboard hot 100 dance chart!]
Do It Well [1st single, hot song, hot video]
Frozen Moments [iTunes bonus track, dancey]
Brave [a beautiful dance ballad]
Be Mine [Dance-y R&B]

The one listed above are some of my personal favorites,
but the one track that i absolutely head over heels madly
in love with is track no.7, which goes by the title
Mile In These Shoes.
One would remember the snippet of the track was used
in the promo for the 4th season of Desperate Housewives.

I don't know why, there's something about that
song...addictive. Hope they'll consider release that
track as a single. With a couple remixes and a video to go
with it, no doubt it'll do well.

With Brave,
Jenny from the block has got her thing back, for good.

Kelly Clarkson - Don't Waste Your Time

This is one of my favorite track from Kelly Clarkson's My December.
The album isn't that bad, really. In fact, it took me some time,
but it grows on me.

My Bad

I hate my blogs layout.
I write crap most of the time.

But that's not gonna change anytime soon.
I like how things are as it is.

MadTv iPhone Parody

Now this is funny. Hahahahaha....

A night at a KTV

I went to one of Hualiens hippest and trendiest (i presume...) KTV in the city center
last night with a bunch of my classmates. It was fun (sort of), and believe me or not,
being an obedient kid all my life, i never ever been to one of those place before, so it's
aort of new to me. Ha-ha...

Although i have no idea most of the time what in the world are my friends yodeling
since i never listen to any Chinese songs except for the very (i mean very, very!) old ones
or those from the 90s', when brainless pop music is still absent from the whole music scence.

Anyway, i was force to sing Avril's Girlfriend. Geez... That's the first time ever
i sing in front of so many people. Kinda weird.

All in all, it was a fun night out. Though i was snoring my way to dreamland
half the time.
Well, this is yours truly, i bet i was drooling then. Ha-ha... Hey, i'm not the only guilty party on the scene, Viecie the Indonesian was snoring like a pig way before i decided to drool.
Went to McD for breakfast. Everyone was staggering as if they were drunk by then. Had a huge pot of coffee (ok, i'm just being exaggerating), but i still manage to fell asleep on my way back on the cab...Empty street of Hualien (6 in the morning). Seems most of the shops are close since it's their National day.

Chai Kuey (菜粿)

I missed the CHAI KUEY my grandma used to make for me and my brothers. I never get tired of the small, dumpling like cakes filled with ku-chai (chives) or mang-kuang (don't ask me what it's called in English, turnip? But it's tasteless...)

Hui Yi trying to talk

KUALA LUMPUR: Heart transplant patient Tee Hui Yi cannot speak well with a tube in her mouth so she communicates by writing on a whiteboard.

“Sometimes she tries to remove the tube but we stop her. So she writes on a whiteboard. She tells us that she is in pain,” said her mother Dina Bato Sam Bua at the National Heart Institute (IJN) yesterday.

MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting, who visited the 14-year-old girl, handed a Thank You card and a copy of his open letter of gratitude published in The Star yesterday to the 34-member IJN team that carried out Hui Yi’s double heart transplant.

Recovering: Hui Yi receiving visitors at IJN yesterday. They are (from right) Dr Fong, Dr Chua, Ong, Wong Sek Hin and Wendy Ong. With them are Tee and Dina Bato.
He commended the team, led by chief cardiothoracic surgeon Datuk Dr Mohd Azahari Yakub, for their commitment and excellence.

Together with his wife Datin Seri Wendy Ong, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek and wife Datin Seri Wong Sek Hin, and Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri Dr Fong Chan Onn and his wife Datin Seri Tan Lay Hwa, they visited Hui Yi at the intensive care unit.

Ong encouraged her to be strong and told her that Malaysians were praying for her recovery.

He later presented a fruit hamper and a teddy bear to Hui Yi’s parents.

“Do not worry,” he assured Dina Bato and her husband Tee Ah Soon. “The IJN team is very professional. They are giving their best to your daughter.

“The people are very concerned. We are praying for her,” he said.

IJN’s Heart Lung Transplant Programme director Mohamed Ezani Md Taib told pressmen that Hui Yi would be taken off the respiratory machine today.

He said Hui Yi, who now weighs 33kg, would be in intensive care for two weeks to avoid infection but doctors would not want her be in there longer than necessary.

Last Thursday, Hui Yi underwent surgery to implant a heart from a 15-year-old boy in Sitiawan who was declared brain dead following a road mishap. Soon after, Hui Yi’s body began to reject the organ.

On Friday, a second heart was brought in from Johor Baru, donated by the parents of a 20-year-old mechanic who was also killed in a road accident.

The IJN surgical team scrambled into action again and performed a second heart transplant on Hui Yi.

Organ donors’ pledges to be upheld by law

KUALA LUMPUR: Family members may have to honour a donor’s pledge to give away their organs to save lives.

The Health Ministry is looking at making amendments to various legislations so that parents and relatives cannot object to the pledge made by an individual of legal age.

“We have to come up with this unfortunately because we feel the time has come to look into it.

“The problem that we face is when relatives and parents object to organ donation.

“They (organ donors) pledge without informing their parents and relatives. So, when it comes to the real harvesting or procurement, there is a problem,” said Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek.

He said amendments to the Human Tissue Act and Medical Act to compel fam

ily members to honour a donor's organ pledge would only be made if the majority of public agreed to it.

Dr Chua said there was still a lot of fear over organ donation because of religious and cultural dimensions.

Reiterating that all religions in Malaysia allowed it, he said, there had been over 100,000 pledges up to June this year but not all organs could be harvested immediately.

Dr Chua was speaking to reporters at the National Heart Institute after visiting 14-year old Tee Hui Yi, who on Friday underwent a second operation to receive a heart from a 20-year-old mechanic, declared brain dead after an accident in Johor Baru.

A day earlier, Hui Yi received a heart from a 15-year-old boy diagnosed as brain dead but soon after the operation her body started rejecting it.

In 2002, 30 organs and tissues were recovered from various cases (five cases were from pledges).

In 2003, there were 25 recoveries (six), and in subsequent years there were 16 (two), 13 (three) and 25 (one). Until May this year there were seven (three). Some 1,200 kidneys, 700 corneas, 450 hearts and 200 livers are needed annually to save lives in Malaysia.

Dr Chua said it was the responsibility of the attending doctor to inform the next-of-kin of patients certified brain dead that they could donate the organs. (There is now no provision to compel the doctors to inform the families of the donation.)

Dr Chua said the ministry would step up its organ donation campaign to maintain the interest generated from Hui Yi's case.

Book Review: The Tender Bar by J.R. Moehringer

The Tender Bar is J.R. Moehringer's memoir about growing up on Long Island, much of it centered around a bar. After his father attacked his mother when he was an infant, he grew up never knowing his father and living in his grandfather's house with eleven other relatives. His Uncle Charlie was a bartender and J.R. often accompanied him to work. There he learned the culture of drinking and hanging out in bars, and was mentored by a couple regulars who loved to read. He was always taking notes and scribbling down jokes and comments he heard, and even as his life moved away from the bar and he had to face his own drinking problem, the bar always felt like home to him. He lived his mother's dream for him to go to Yale and eventually became a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter. The Tender Bar has received positive reviews with the Rocky Mountain News saying, "Funny, frank, sad and bursting with life, The Tender Bar is irresistible."

I never really like memoirs of any sorts. I mean, far as i can remember,
the last "memoir" i read before The Tender Bar was Marianne Pearl's A Mighty Heart.
But something in me just...snapped when i flip open the book. I'm not a picky person when
it comes to books, but i do emphasis on how the first few page i read affects me.
That's the kind of sensation (sensation? haha!!!) The Tender Bar gave me.

Anyway, i like how J.R. describe the bar, as his home, spiritually.
It hit me as i remember how i love to hang out in a tiny used bookstore
managed by an old guy back in Macalister Street, Penang. Half my books
which consist of rare, out of print, first editions books were given to me by him.
I guess that's the main reason why i'm so crazy on books. Ha-ha...

Anyway, great book. Glad i found this book when i was browsing mindlessly through
Borders.

MadTv Spoof -Aren't Asians Great

I don't know if the parody video is praising Asians or just a
plain ol' insult. You decide. Found this video a couple days ago
when i was stuck in my dorm the day typhoon hits.

ABC in Taiwan.

I had this humongous bowl of fruits and ice confectionery for NT50,
and i'll say it's worth every penny. There's like a bunch of pineapples,
watermelons, kiwi, pear, banana etc... And when i say humongous,
it's really, really huge.

Drop by this shop if you ever going to visit Hualien, Taiwan.
The shop is situated on a small lane just across the main Gate of Tzu Chi University,
on Jung Yang Road.

Moonlight

Moonlight is an American supernatural television drama created by Ron Koslow and Trevor Munson, who also serve as executive producers alongside Joel Silver, Gerard Bocaccio and Rod Holcomb. The show is a horror series that follows a private investigator, Mick St. John (Alex O'Loughlin), whose bride, Coraline (Shannyn Sossamon), turned him into a vampire on the couple's wedding night 60 years prior; he struggles in the present day with his love for a mortal woman, Beth Turner (Sophia Myles), and his dealings with other vampires in the city.

Produced by Warner Bros. Television and Silver Pictures, the series premiered on September 28, 2007, airing on Friday nights at 9:00/8:00c on CBS, following Ghost Whisperer.

This show has got to be one of the best series premiere this season.
I mean, who cares if the series bears a lot of similarities with Angel,
but i think it's more like a mash up of Angel, Buffy, Ghost Whisperer, and Criminal Minds.

Hope CBS give the show a full season permit.

Hot guy, hot chick, and cool effects and great storyline.
It'll be a waste if CBS cancel the show.

Beyonce Live Concert in Kuala Lumpur CANCELLED

An up-coming Beyonce concert in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia has been cancelled amidst protests by local Muslim groups Billboard reports.

The groups are said to be upset that Beyonce has refused to obey the country's strict dress code for performers.

The promoter of the November 1st concert, Pineapple Concert, did not give a reason for the cancellation in a statement issued Friday (September 28).

Female performers are not allowed to show skin from the tops of their chests to their knees.

An August Gwen Stefani concert was preceded by protests for the same reason. Stefani reluctantly abided by the guidelines, saying in a press conference before the show that she had made a "major sacrifice."

The muslim groups in Malaysia is getting waaaaaay out of their heads.
I mean, TAHUN PERCUTIAN MALAYSIA??!! Come on, if women aren't allow to show skins,
why not just kick all the tourist out and accept only those bunch or black burqa clad women from some mulims country which my dad refer them as Ninja.

They're a bunch of sick and pathetic animals.
Way to go, Beyonce for having the guts to stand for your own rights.
Who needs KL while there are other more welcoming countries.

And sad to say, i'm ashamed of being a Malaysian.
Know what my Taiwanese classmates asked when i said i was from Malaysia?
They asked me if i'm a Muslim! I'm offended, of course. But who's there to blame them for thinking that way?
